I made a Kydex and leather holster for the revolver....I have a Weigand mount on my GP 100 and my .44 mag SBH. Nice light compact mount. Uses the sight screw and you have to D&T 2 6X48 holes in the top strap. Pretty easy to do if you have a drill press. The Pro Point I have on mine is a fairly bulky but dependable sight. In your case, there is a non-gunsmith mount made for the 6" but not for the 4" GP. You would have to drill and tap the top strap in order to mount a Weaver style base for your Red Dot.
